Video Conferencing Instructions for Staff
Overview
The LifeSize Room" is located in Room 422. Written instructions should be located next to the system. If not, the User Guide (PDF, 1.25 MB) can be downloaded from the LifeSize website.
Powering on
The system is designed to be left on 24/7 and should be left on at all times. If for some reason the power has been switched off, it can take up to 2 minutes for the system to boot - monitors may not receive any signal in the first minute.
Making a call
Use the remote to select either "Video Call" or "Voice Call", press OK, and enter the IP address that you wish to connect to. Alternatively, if pressing the yellow button on the remote to access IP addresses that have been stored in the Address Book.
Receiving a call
The system is not set by default to auto-answer. A ringing sound will be heard to let you know to answer it when a call comes though.
Advanced Settings
We ask that you will not change settings unless absolutely necessary. If you need to access the User Preferences or Administrator Preferences menus, please obtain the password from Mike Steel. If you must change any settings, please let us know exactly what has been changed.
