I was born in Oxford, UK in 1976, I obtained a First Class BSc (Hons) in Mathematics followed by PhD in Statistics from Lancaster University. My PhD on "Nuclear Reactor Modelling and Risk Assessment" sparked my passion for statistical modelling for real life applications, thanks to my supervisors Granville Tunnicliffe-Wilson and Jonathan Tawn. I became a Lecturer at the University of Canterbury in 2004 and am now an Associate Professor. I am also an Adjunct Research Fellow at the National University of Ireland in Galway. On this personal website you will find some information about my Research Interests including key publications, links to current courses I have taught into and the website for the "evmix" package I co-authored in R.
