Dr. Audrey Lustig

She is an Associate Investigator at Te Pūnaha Matatini and postdoctoral researcher with the Geospatial Research Institute (GRI) Toi Hangarau, University of Canterbury. Her engineering and scientific journey has provided an excellent foundation in using computational, mathematical, and statistical approaches to probe and analyse data across industries, as well as engineering research. She can look at research/business needs and define solutions, including the development of software that are on the leading edge of data science methodologies, tools and platforms.

Dr. Rachael Tappenden

She is a lecturer for the School of Mathematics and Statistics at the University of Canterbury, Christchurch, New Zealand. She was awarded a PhD from the University of Canterbury, where she worked under the supervision of Assoc. Prof. Ian Coope, and co-supervision of Dr Peter Renaud and Mr Bob Broughton. Following this, She was a Postdoctoral Researcher in the School of Mathematics at the University of Edinburgh, Scotland, where she collaborated with Dr Peter Richtarik, and also with Prof. Jacek Gondzio and Dr Burak Buke, and then worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher in the Department of Applied Mathematics and Statistics at The Johns Hopkins University, USA, working with Prof. Daniel Robinson. Her research interests lie in the broad area of numerical linear algebra and optimization.
