Abstract
In this paper we present new numerical results for solution of partial differential equations by RBF collocation. These results show that collocation with a basic function from the Matern class can be more accurate than collocation with the multiquadric basic function. Also, we present and implement an algorithm which solves linear and non-linear collocation equations with the multiquadric when N is large and c < 2 / √N.
