Overview:

PortobelloThe 19th annual New Zealand meeting on the interface of mathematics and biology in the study of phylogeny, genome analysis and molecular evolution will be held at Portobello on Otago peninsula. This is a rejuvenated historic village about 30 minutes' drive from downtown Dunedin en route to Taiaroa Head and Otakou marae. Portobello is a convenient location from which to explore all that Otago peninsula - the 'Wildlife Capital of New Zealand' - has to offer. It is home to yellow-eyed penguins, blue penguins and the only human-inhabited mainland colony of royal albatrosses, as well as sea lions and fur seals, to name but a few of the residents. The conference schedule will include visits to local attractions
